Big Government and Small Businesses Don’t Mix!

Government Captial in Washington

Government regulation is strangling small and medium businesses.

Of course, not every law imposed has a negative impact on small or medium business. Many rules are recognized as a positive thing in the business world, necessary and beneficial.

But far too often government legislatures and regulators decide that some branch of business and/or industry needs further oversight, and so another law is enacted without first taking the time and making the effort to find out what the full consequences of enforcement might be.

And even when a regulation does no direct harm to business, it requires more paperwork.

Many small and medium businesses must hire extra help or pay for outside consultants, just to keep up with the records and forms that governments demand of them to insure compliance. And that’s money that cannot be reinvested in the business, or used for community benefit.
